Chelsea Emerge as Contenders to Sign Man United Attacker

Sportsmail revealed Arsene Wenger’s interest in the 26-year-old winger earlier this month. Chelsea are also emerging as contenders to sign Nani.

Do Chelsea need to bring in another wide attacker? Remember this is a side that has the likes of Juan Mata and Eden Hazard interchanging on the wings with able support from the likes of Victor Moses, Marko Marin, Lucas Piazon and for the time being at least, Daniel Sturridge.
Nani is undoubtedly a talented individual and the Portuguese international does seem likely to leave Old Trafford having becoming surplus to requirements at Man United, but a move to Chelsea seems unlikely.
The 26 year old has started just four Premier League matches this season, the last of which coming back in September, and could well be offloaded by Sir Alex Ferguson if a decent offer is made for the former Sporting Lisbon attacker.
Chelsea could well do with bringing in other striking options but seem less likely to feel the need to bring in another winger.
