Arsenal Hope to Sign Italian International To Boost Gunners Firepower

Matri Arsenal Move
Arsene Wenger looks to bring Serie A hit-man to the Emirates Stadium.

Alessandro Matri’s future seems to be far from Juventus as AC Milan have been joined by Arsenal in their pursuit for the striker.
AC Milan are in need of a striker as Brazilian duo Robinho and Pato look set for moves back to Brazil.
They have been joined by Arsene Wenger as Arsenal look to change their attacking options with Marouane Chamakh and Andrei Arshavin set for the exit doors.

Though Alessandro Matri did net a brace against former club Cagliari in Juventus’s last match before the Italian winter break the 28 year old forward is very much a bit part player at the Turin club this term.
This is despite the fact that the powerful forward finished last term as the club’s top scorer in Serie A. Antonio Conte has opted to use Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco ahead of Matri and as such the experienced forward may well be open to a move away from the Serie A title holders in January.
Matri has the physical presence to make it in the English top tier and could well add another attacking option to Arsene Wenger’s attack. Currently the Frenchman is steadfastly sticking with Olivier Giroud as his main front man, bar the last couple of fixtures when the Gunners boss has relented and used Theo Walcott as an out and out striker, with some success.
Matri wouldn’t cost the earth and could be a very useful addition but one would imagine that is AC Milan came calling, which seems plausible as Alexandre Pato and Robinho have both asked for a move away from the club, given that striker spent his formative years at the San Siro.
